Detailed Description

(1991) 122 min., Benigni. Starring and directed by Roberto Benigni, Dante is a simple fellow, who is happy in his job as a school bus driver, but feels his love life could be improved. When Maria, a beautiful and sophisticated lady becomes enamoured of him, and asks him to join her in Palermo, he can't believe his luck. Dante doesn't know it, but his uncanny resemblance to Maria's gangster husband, Johnny Stecchino, is about to land him in situations bordering on the ridiculous.
