(2020) 82 min. Mambo Man is the story of JC a "big fish in a small pond" Cuban concert promoter, farmer and well-meaning hustler. To support his family and small circle of associates JC lives beyond his means - and now faces the consequences. The film includes a melodious soundtrack and live music performances from Cuban legends, including Candido Fabre, Maria Ochoa, Alma Latina, David Alvarez and Arturo Jorge, and music by Omara Portuondo, Eliades Ochoa, Juan De Marcos Gonzalez and the Afro-Cuban All Stars. DVD in Spanish with English subtitles. (Not rated, but if rated would be PG.)
